All study and no play makes Jack dull. And what is true in a nursery rhyme is perhaps true in life. Or at least, such a childish line actually rings with scientific educational philosophy. In fact, many modern educational pedagogies are built around this concept. Whether influenced by multiple intelligence, experiential learning or social development principles, using game to learn and learning games or sports are actually effective education strategies.
According to these philosophies, a child can learn to make sense of the world around them through games or sports. Sports on the other hand teaches friendly competition, respecting rules, sportsmanship and camaraderie. And of course, sports and games are effective ways of keeping healthy.
